Star Wars: The Old Republic or SWTOR is upcoming release located in the famous Star Wars universe. The game is being developed by Lucas Arts together with Bioware and is promised to be one of the most revolutionary MMO games ever. On the beginning the game was announced for the beginning of 2011 but later on it changed to summer of 2011. But the team keeps working on it until now and the release is planned in the last quarter of 2011. Star Wars: The Old Republic will be released as MS Windows compatible only.
The game will bring you to a hard choice between different Star Wars roles and characters, and this choice will follow you during the game time and affect almost everything around you in the game field. The game is taking place in 300 years after the Knights of the Old Republic and during the way you will meet many online companions to help you or bother you. Fight with you or start fighting against you. Your game behavior will affect NPC behavior and a “unique” game play promised by developers of The Old Republic. Waiting to put my hands on a copy.
During the game play you will notice two factions of The Old Republic with completely separated behavior and one of your goals will be finding the proper balance between your own personality and moral and between what the game expects you to do as a proud warrior of your faction. Character will be highly customizable with expanded face editor, but there is nothing new in that while game like Star Wars: The Old Republic released in end of 2011.

29th Of september 2009 closed beta test was open for registration. The developers of The Old Republic claimed that the testing will come through couple of phases spread out over a long period of time. Of course some of the luckiest gamers got the game into their arms a long ago, but according to the terms of their contract with The Old Republic release team they are not allowed to share a word about the game.
We expect this game to bring some life into the Star Wars world. MMORPGs are extremely popular among many many people, that are not necessary a hardcore gamers, but the Old Republic universe promises to be as close as possible to the original story by George Lucas so it can attract as many fans and players as possible. The entry level will be relatively low, so we are really expecting to get a nice detailed populated with NPCs, objects and of course lots of other players doing the same thing as you do in the Star Wars: The Old Republic universe, and it doesn’t matter if they pick your side or not.
